5.15pm Tony J King

Tony J King’s signature sound is hard to pin down. Cycling between the contemporary alt-roots sound, to the jiving, dirty tunes of the 40’s and 50’s, King oscillates between worlds, sounds and moods taking influences from the likes of Muddy Waters, Bob Dylan, Howling Wolf, Leadbelly and Robert Johnson.

With a few stories, guitar and half a drum kit, Tony J King creates a ramshackle music that has its roots in the street-corner blues and folk of the forties. Drawing on his experiences growing up in the ‘Northern Badlands’ of SA and the interesting and unique jobs he’s had since Tony J King weaves tales from his fascination with the unusual, the exotic and the downright bizarre delving into the darker and mysterious side of the flawed and the famous, the wild and the wicked.

8.15pm The Jackson Combo

“From Brisbane to New Orleans a Melbourne quartet of blues and jazz musicians is taking the world by storm.” Herald Sun Melbourne.

The Jackson Four have been impressing audiences across Australia and internationally since 2013 with their Cool Blues, Swinging Grooves and New Orleans beats. They were the ‘surprise hit’ of the Devonport Jazz Festival 2017 with three full house shows. And their latest release, ‘Kool Kats’ reached top 5 on the Australian Blues Chart in 2017.

The band has also developed quite a following overseas. Especially the U.K. Entering the UK Blues chart top 20 and a nomination for ‘Best UK Blues CD 2015’ with their debut, ‘Love the Life’.  A UK promo visit followed in 2016. With appearances at some of London’s iconic Blues and Jazz clubs. Followed by appearances at clubs in Edinburgh in 2017. And San Francisco and Vancouver in 2018.

Tables for the early seating can be booked between 5.00 – 5.30pm and must vacate by 7.30pm.

The second seating starts from 8.15pm and goes all night till we ring in the new year!

NYE Southern Feast  $85 pp

Booking are currently available for our two al fresco dining spaces. Our spacious courtyard which is undercover and Cocoa Jackson Lane. Cocoa Jackson Lane boasts an unobstructed view to enjoy the band from all seats, some seats in the Courtyard have obstructed views however all seats can hear the music. Requests for seats in a particular area will be accommodated where possible but cannot be guaranteed.

Bookings are essential. In the unlikely event of rain all bookings will be accommodated either in our undercover courtyard or inside in the New Orleans room.

Please note

Bookings made for the second sitting are assumed to be staying on to ring in the new year. Food will be served staggered throughout the evening from the booking time through till midnight.

Dietary Requirements

Gluten free, vegetarian & vegan feasts are available by request. Please notify us of your preference when booking if you would prefer one of these options. If you have any other dietary requirements please contact the restaurant directly before booking.
