Shoehorn

Shoehorn is a chamber jazz ensemble featuring a duo of alto saxophonist Alice Bisschops and upright bassist James Lockwood.
Inspired by Jazz greats Charlie Parker, Lester Young, and Paul Desmond, Shoehorn brings a melodic and reserved sensibility to the music of The Great American Songbook. Shoehorn’s sound is featherlight, bouncing, and spontaneous, presenting upright bass and alto saxophone as equal partners within the ensemble to create dynamic yet timeless interpretations of Jazz and Bebop.
