Richard Pavlidis Duo

Richard Pavlidis is a saxophonist and composer from Melbourne, Australia. He has performed at major festivals around Australia and overseas including Splendour in the Grass (Byron Bay), The Manly Jazz Festival (Sydney), Europafest (Romania) and the Bay of Islands Jazz Festival (New Zealand).

Richard’s debut, acoustic jazz quartet album ‘Without Within’ was released in May 2019 and followed by a national tour. It was described as ‘a beautiful album’ by AustralianJazz.net and several of the tracks are featured in the Australian Jazz Real Book.

His follow-up album ‘Origins’ was premiered live at the Melbourne Recital Centre just before Covid, and released in December 2020. ‘The Australian’ describes Richard as ‘a saxophone colossus in the making’. Today he performs jazz standards and New Orleans classics in a duo with pianist Adam Rudegeair.
