Floyd Thursby sings old time jazz and blues from New Orleans to New York City, crate-digging through the 1920s and ‘30s to find rare gems from forgotten street singers and new takes on timeless classics. Bashing out a forceful rhythm on his authentic Parisian gypsy jazz guitar (as used by Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club Quintet), Floyd hollers and croons his way through the songs of Fats Waller, Bessie Smith, Cab Calloway, Sophie Tucker, Louis Armstrong, Al Bowlly, the Mills Brothers and many more.
